After a sleepover at my sister Jorunn's place, time to go to Bergen and Stockholm.

Martin's flight path from Westwood, via Bergen in Norway and to Stockholm, Sweden.

Jorunn's guest house early in the morning.

Jorunn spends stacks of money on her house to make it more functianlly.

And a lot of work it is.

The taxi was ready at 0630 sharp.

Off to the airport which is some 2,5 kms from Jorunn's house. Not far.

Time to go through the security check. A necessary drag.

Martin's plane to Bergen.

The mountains still have snow on them. What a Summer?

Martin had 4 hours to spare at the airport in Bergen where it was raining as usual. Martin used his time to update his photos.

To the left, a very expensive meal. NOK 197,- or €27,- for a shrimp salad and a beer. Beer alone is NOK 90,- (€ 12).

Details of the bill.

After a short delay, we landed in Stockholm with Norwegian.

Roy arrived just half an hour after Martin that lost his luggage.

Queuing up to go through the customs.

Roy checking in Best Western Terminus Hotel in central Stockholm.

Our hotel from the outside.

Martin at a crossover next to the hotel.

Nice view. The hotel down to the left.

Off to the Wasa Museum in Stockholm. One of the most visited museums in the town.

A map showing Scandinavia and part of western Europe.

Martin is studying one of the many posters concerning the museum.

A scale model of the ship itself. It tipped around at setting it afloat.

A cross section of the ship show too little ballast. The ship was top heavy.

One of the many canals of Stockholm

Roy and Martin at the aft of the ship.

After the visit, time for a beer and dinner at a local restaurant, Rest Barcelona.

Roy is a very happy person most of the time. Look at his broad smile here.

Martin enjoys Roy's company. He is a very jolly fellow and good company.

Martin is checking that the waiter is not fiddling with his credit card.

Time to go back to the hotel.

The next day, Saturday August 4th, it was time to go to Helsinki, Finland.
