Our last day in Singapore was spent on Fort Silos. The view from Fort Silos.

The harbor is magnificent.

The ships are waiting to be unloaded.

The skyline of Singapore. Martin cannot get enough of it.

The old guns of Fort Silos.

Visiting Fort Silos, where the guns engaged the Japs in 1942.

The small island below for Silos.

Pictures of the old Fort Silos.

The skywalk on top of the mountain hill of Fort Silos.

Expensive condos.

The ships of the harbor.

Roy taking some photos of the embankment.

Inside the tunnels loading shells.

The lift taking the grenades up to the guns above.

The observation post on top of the hill.

Operational room in the tunnels.

Was the guns pointing the wrong way? Yes, they were, but it was easy to turn them around and give the Japs their run for their money.

An overview of the battle of Singapore, the biggest defeat of the British during WWII.

The old ornaments guns are kept.

The guns from the front with the calibers in front of them.

An ammo lift for the artillery shells.

The command structure of Singapore.

A pictorial showing a parade from the golden days.

The battery on top of the island.

They are working hard loading their guns. Most of them were volunteers.

Martin posing with an artillery piece from the mid 30-ties. This was a staple gun in the British army during WWII.

Martin's favorite skew sky-line of Singapore.

Back to the mono-rail stop. Fancy roof structures.

On the mono-rail over the sea back to the mainland.

The food republic was amazing. An enormous amount of restaurants that only took cash.

Another view of the bustling restaurant complex.

Chicken is a favorite staple in Singapore.

The escalators down to the ground level where the mono-rail started.

Amazing complex of stairs and escalators.

Universal studio is the only Universal in South-East Asia or Asia for that matter.

Our last day in Singapore was spent on Fort Silos. The view from Fort Silos showing the cable car we took yesterday.

The next day, Tuesday March 29th, it was time to go to Chaing Mai via Bangkok.
