Will Martin get entry to Vietnam, or have the corrupt officials in the Immigration gotten to him? First hurdle overcome. He was allowed to check in.

Entrance to Incheon International Airport.

Plenty of check-in counters for Vietnam Airlines. Very fast and effecient.

Martin waiting to check in.

Martin was happy and didn't have to wait for long.

The departure lounge is very impressive.

Some 500 gates and a train connects the part. Martin boarded at gate 9.

Martin had a big, tasty breakfast consisting of Wiener pork cutlet or Wiener schnitzel which means "Viennese cutlet" in German, and it is one of Austria's most traditional and representative dishes. So much so, in fact, that its definition is fiercely protected by Austrian law. It must be made of veal; when made with any other type of meat, it cannot technically be called Wiener schnitzel.

Outside it was wet and miserable.

The view from Martin's breakfast table. Depressing.

Nice restaurant though.

Leaving Korea.

Arrives in Vietnam. My flight.

Long walk to immigrations.

Finally outside with June.

Nice reunion.

Second visit to Cloud Nine.

Having an Hanoi beer. This is not the first time here.

Lovely place.

And so is the food. Cold-cut meat with cheese.

On Tuesday September 6th, it was time to visit the Norwegian embassy in Hanoi for some legalizations. If he was allowed into Vietnam.
