Last stretch in Nang Rong

Lovely meal. Five dishes at 140 bath or just under US $ 5,-. Good value for money. A sausage, chicken breast, fish cake, spicy salad with eggs and fruit salad. Real nice meal for two.

It is overlooking the lake.

The lake in the afternoon sun.

You can feed the cat fish for a small donation. There are lots of them.

Martin's favorite, Leo beer with ice at the bottom.

Next to Home Ming there is a bar frequented by foreigners. Mostly Englishmen. Martin pop by to have an English conversation.

Lai on her way home. Martin never drives after drinking. Not safe. Neither is a motorbike, but better than drunk driving.

Lai is making some nice chicken spits in the living room on an electrical grill. Great fun and very tasty.

Nice view of the big lake.

Martin has just enjoyed a nice lunch.

Lai on her bike without a helmet.

Lai at Home Ming, the favorite lunch restaurant around the corner.

Martin likes this green color on the house.

The lake from the other side.

Another green house.

The property lady that sold Lai her house. Not a nice lady with her Miss Thailand daughter.

Bruce helps Martin putting up an extra pair of sockets.

Bruce is an electrician by trade.

Martin met this old man on the market. A nice, smiling Thai that spoke a few words of English.

Oct 29th, it was raining a lot and we sat in Lai's back yard and had a barbeque on an electrical grill. Nice.

Lai is doing the cooking.

This is Lai's back yard.

Her family brought pork knuckles. Only fat and sinew, uneatable.

The next day of to the big fish restaurant. Martin here with the owner, Pranam. She doesn't smile much.

But her fish in sweet & sour is excellent. Martin has this a couple of times a week.
Lai is doing the dishes in the back yard.

Martin got stuck in the mud driving off the road.

Martin wanted to buy some shoes, but forgot.

At the restaurant, some Buddhist monks were begging. Lai is showing her respect.

On the last day of October, is was raining a lot.

Watch the video.
