Martin and Tant went to the Floating Market and Martin participated in a phone meeting with ITC.

Tant and Martin waiting to go to The Floating Market.

Nice Temple on the road.

Smart assed driver Dum, and dumb he was, tried to fleece Martin.

Funny house on the road.

Taking off the highway, it was this flooded underpass that grabbed Martin's attention.

Murky, green slimy water at The Floating Market. Not very appetizing.

The waterways are impressive. Have a look at a short video.

It is quite peaceful to ride on these boats.

The undergrowth has a kind of sorcery feeling about them.

The flowers are nice too.

You have another video, some 166 Mbytes that you can watch from these waterways.

It is many of these cronies in these system.

Nice flowers and lush vegetation characterizes these bushes.

One house has metal plates as sheeting in front of the house.

Derelict buildings all along the canals.

And some have nice flower arrangements in front of their entrances.

Queues are all along the lived in houses. Most of them are abandoned.

Then the shops, and there are hundreds along the water ways.

Nice saleslady too.

They are rebuilding some to the stuff along the canals.

The view is nice.

A ingenious fence made of empty plastic bottles seems to work.

Some washing hang out to dry.

All the houses have the Thai flag and/or the yellow King's flag.

There are gangways along the canals that can be used by bikes as well.

There are bridges so the bikes can cross.

The boats have fancy engines.

Some fancy signs are up too.

Shoes for sale. The prices are excessive. A beer usually twice the street value on the waterways.

Spices are a very popular product.

Old lady taking it easy in her sales boat, catering for hungry and thirsty tourists.

Sarongs are also a popular sales object.

Hazy mess of all kind for sale.

These mini bikes are impressive. If Martin had money, he would have bought one.

The fruit is delicious. These are meant for resale.

Bags in all shapes and sizes are for sale.

The food boat. Martin bought some chicken and spring rolls. It was delicious.

The canals could be crowded at times.

The even sell plants from their boats.

A Swede had hung up a fancy sign from Sweden, saying he was here.

The wide water ways. Fun to travel fast on. See video.

The main shopping area.

The flags over the bridge.

And washing outside the houses is a sure sign somebody lives there.

Nice curve on the water way.

The flowers are lovely.

This must be a parody of John Lennon, Martin thinks.

The water level is a little bit high due to all the rain lately which is unseasonal.

Nice lowered gang way.

The bridges impresses Martin as the old civil engineer hi is.

An ongoing boat at full steam makes it fascinating.

Calm waters.

Mystique undergrowth are nice.

Martin's leg in the narrow boat.

After leaving The Floating Market, we passed a traffic accident.

This man doesn't look too good.

On the way back to the city some 100 kms away, we passed this tall building among many.

The skyline of Bangkok form the South.

Martin and Tant is having the last dinner at Rosabieng. Martin likes it there and enjoys the music and company.

We had a steamed fish for dinner, nice but not enough for two.

The next day, Wednesday  December 19th, it was time for Tant to leave for now.
