The Avana pool looks nice, but they have started constructions work on the
one side. More seminar rooms they say. The look from 707, our room at a misty Bangkok. |
The maid Deng wouldn't smile since she is missing some teeth. Kran busy at the breakfast table taking junk rice to eat. |
Kran next to the pool. Also pigeons enjoy a free breakfast. Kran and Martin had to pay for theirs. |
Martin in his South African shirt
look nice. Kran off to work, busy on the phone as always. |
Nice sales lady at the hotel shop
clocking up Martin's pool beers. Martin is getting ready to have a tan. |
They are putting up new seminar
facilities next to the pool. Not a good move, Martin thinks. Martin's toes next to the lovely, unused pool. |
Not much of a safety net here for
the workers on the scaffolds. This typical dumb Swede waded in the pool for 25 meters. |
Then he waded back. Then he put in this enormous effort of swimming 3 laps or 60 meters. Martin did 2000 meters in the morning or 100 laps. |
Then a couple of female Norwegian
missionaries arrived to Avana which has a lot of Christians using it. In the evening, back to 13 Coins for some beers and dinner. Martin was not very hungry due to his salmon steak earlier the same day. |
The next day, Friday May 11th,
was another day at Avana Hotel with
Kran. Her business trip to Kohn Caen was cancelled.
