Summing it all up.

Dec 20 - off to Hua Hin
The pictures below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click them. The weather in Norway and in Bangkok just now.

It took us just over 4 hours to get to Hua Hin.

Martin swam for an hour every day here at The Royal River Kwai Hotel. Lovely and Martin will be back in June.

Lovely trees in front of our room, 109.

The River Kwai seen through the trees.

Martin's beer arrived on time. 5 crates of Chang Lights at a reasonable price.

They had a conference for pediatrics this week at the hotel.

Martin's beer boys happy after a job well done.

Martin standing and reflecting over this most beautiful pool he has seen in Thailand.

Hurrah for lovely pool. Watch the video, some 85 MB in length.

Martin and Kran ready for a rub down.

Kran on the coach.

Martin getting rubbed down.

It is actually quite relaxing.

After the massage, time for a cup of herb tea.

The River Kwai seen through the windows of the massage parlor.

Lovely view of the outdoor area at the hotel.

Tom and Tak, a lovely couple working at the hotel.

Love each other, they do.

And they are very happy together.

Russians are everywhere in Thailand. Two busloads of them seen here.

On route to Hua Hin, time for a coffee stop.

The Milford Paradise Hotel, where Kran and Martin will stay for 5 nights till the 25th when it is time to go to Pattaya, Jomtien and Surfbeach Hotel.

The Milford's main entrance.

The Milford Paradise in its full glory. There are no rooms on this side, the Western side.

The main outdoor area where the pool can been seen.

Kran is checking in.

The mountain next to the hotel.

i
All 38 stories of the hotel.

The pool look very nice and big.

But it is not clean. Days old leaves on the bottom of the pool. Not good. And the water is unclear, indicating lack of chlorine or malfunction sand filter or both.

Up to the sixth floor.

Kran's car in the parking lot.

Martin on the terrace outside the room. All rooms are facing the sea, but towards the East so you have no evening sun, only morning sun.

Bird eye's view of the pool area.

At night, Kran's car can be seen.

There was a set dinner for a bunch of Malaysians from Singapore. Crabs were on the menu.

Then Martin and Kran went off to a local restaurant, Ban Suan Pa. Squid soup seen here.

The owner, Mr. Somsak and his daughter. He was busy all evening.

So was this lovely lady, his wife. She was cooking and handling all the cash payments. Effective lady. She is 33 he is 42. Nice couple. You can phone them on local number 086-1664501.

The next day, Tuesday December 21st, it was time for visiting Luck Restaurant for our Christmas dinner on the 24th and some shoe shopping.
