Map of Thailand.

Summing it all up.

July 25, arrived in Bangkok
The pictures below are thumbnails, meaning they are small copies of the real thing. You just click on the thumbnails, and you get the full picture in a separate window. Back to start.

Martin booked into his favorite hotel in Bangkok, The Ambassador.

To the left, Tom the limousine driver. Nice guy with a nice name.

Tom taking Martin's stuff to the car.

Just before the hotel, the very effective Sky Train of Bangkok.

The distinctive tower wing of the The Ambassador.

There are a lot of hotels in this area and here are some of them you can see from the pool area where Martin lives for the duration of his stay, 14 days.

Martin has a lot of good memories from his last stay in April. Then he stayed in the tower block. But this time he also got tickets to the Sky Bar on the 26th floor.

Martin's favorite tower in Bangkok.

They had an educational exhibition on show in one of the conference areas. All about bachelors ands masters degrees.

Aor (pronounced Å in Norwegian), the friendly bar girl next to the pool that Martin used a lot last time and will use this time as well.

Marriott hotel next door. This one is not bombed yet, and hopefully not so. Ambassador is better.

Martin having his evening beer next to the pool.

Martin went across the street to his favorite music restaurant, the Rosabieng Restaurant. they have nice jazz here. But they had closed for the night.

The music instruments are wrapped up for the night. See you tomorrow.

The next day, Sunday July 26th, it was time for swimming an another try for Nang to arrive.
