Map of Thailand.

Summing it all up.

Sep 11, taxi drive around the city.

Tukta had contacts and we hired a taxi cab for the day to visit various places.

To the left, a view from the breakfast table at the hotel were we stayed.

To the right, we have the entrance to Centara Kata hotel where we stayed.

The entrance of our room at the hotel, 9505.

Tukta and the cab driver in fluent Thai on the way to the days doings.

First stop was to order Jorunn's dresses. Here you have the tailor and Tukta, the advisor.

Tukta is showing the colors chosen for Jorunn's dresses.

Now it's time for our day trip with our cab driver Narong.

Back at the biggest Buddhist temple on the island of Phuket. Martin had been here before. Have a look.

Tukta in prayer in front of the altar of the tempel.

Another look at Tukta praying.

The ceiling of the temple.

Another temple in the distance. Martin in the foreground.

Nice golden Buddha. He didn't really live. Just a fiction of a prince of sorts.

Seen from the top of the temple. The garden.

Big Buddha in the distance. It was too costly to get there by 4by4. Normal taxi couldn't do it,

Martin in the stairs of the temple, puffed.

Nice temple.

Lovely Thai girl selling Martin a new lens cap since the old one was chipped.

Details of temple ornaments.

The 7x11 shop that didn't sell beers. Bad it is. But we managed.

Outside the zoo in Phuket.

Inside the bird cage of the zoo with no birds except for secondary cages.

But there was a lot of fresh water fishes in the bird cage.

Off to the crocodile pen. Big Daddy ready for performance.

Big Daddy getting stirred by his handlers during the performance.

A concrete croc on the outside of the pen where the live ones live.

Martin and a big cat, a Bengal tiger.

A sad view. A young elephant chained to the ground. Could hardly move.

The elephant show starts. Now they are unchained.

Doing some tricks.

More elephant tricks. OK I presume.

Playing basket ball. A standard elephant performance trick.

They even can bike!

Time for some serious tip-toeing. Very impressive.

Every zoo has a temple. This is one.

Then off to the Cape watching the sea.

View of some very expensive flats build in the mountain side. Not for us traveling unspecified.

First windmill encountered in Phuket ever.

Tukta stolling down to the beach.

Arild and his ever-loving Tukta.

Tukta is caring for Arild's every need, 24/7. Seen here tucking his big, fat, protruding belly into his shirt.

Martin and Tukta. She is lucky, having two European looking after her.

Martin and Arild.

A view over the beach next to our hotel.

Arild is getting the full treat. His service center, Tukta is practicing pedicure on Arild while he is working on his computer.

Then she moves up closer to Arild's better parts for a close look at his computer.

A lovely night with a seafood and beef platter eaten with chop sticks. Lovely and bana fritter, meaning French fried bana.

The next day, Friday, it was time for relaxing at the hotel and pool side.
