These pictures was taken on July5th, 2006 while visiting Ellen our sister, in Hospital after a broken leg. How she managed to break both shin bones is a mystery. She doesn't remember how that was possible being pulled over by one of her dogs. You can have a look at the dogs here. The pictures were taken in April 2006. Below is a map showing Kongsberg, some 600 km to the East of Oslo.

To the left, the waterfall that started the industrial revolution at Kongsberg.

To the right, some gear from the old industrial days.

The scene from which most of the jazz concerts were played.

The waterfall taken up streams.

Martin on the bridge that connects the two part of the town.

And during a festival, beer is an important part of everything.

The tent used for concerts down town. They were playing all day here, starting at 1000 hours.

Martin and his sister Jorunn enjoying the music and a cold, expensive (€ 8,50 a pint) beer.

A longhaired musician entering the stage, ready to play.

The concert hall, popular name among the inhabitants is The Citron Press, due to its design.

Having a snack before going to the hospital.

Jorunn seen here with the train that passes through the center of town and in the background, you have the hospital were Ellen is a patient.

Entering the hospital grounds.

Ellen is in a rather high spirit, even though it pains her to be immobilized like this.

Ellen was most pleased and surprised with our visit.

The times are booming and there are construction going on all around the city.

Close to where Jorunn's car is parked, there are construction going on.

Martin is doing his bit at Jorunn's grill at Sand fjord where she is living. Cooking slimming turkey. Martin prefers his calories in form of beer.

Having wireless Internet is the thing to have. Jorunn's neighbor has one, or so she thinks.

Heavy concentration since it's very difficult to see in the bright daylight.

Martin having a go with his trusty beer at the side.

Jorunn and her living-in handyman, Kjell. He is a very good cook.
