Having my first beer

These pictures was taken on February 13, 2006 before the most of the snow arrived.

My porch is the best place of all places to be. Also called the stoep in Afrikaans.

To the left, my home made grill. After all, Martin holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

To the right, the grill seen towards the Northwest.

A weird color for the grass. Martin was experimenting with his new camera a Fujifilm FinePix S9500 bought in February this year.

And may be this is the way the colors should look like.

The cherry tree in full blossom. In six weeks time, they should be ripe and ready for picking.

And the beer always tastes nice on the porch. Here in Microsoft's beer cooler. Could be bought from the web.

Scotch heather planted by my Mom some 40 years ago.

And the onions, potatoes and carrots are getting ready.

Martin the cook in action at the braai.

And Martin enjoys anything that  has to do with fire.

And with a good meal, a good companion is always important.
