We only stayed one night in Paraguay. We went to Encarnación–Iguazú, Brasil.
And we had a look at the Itaipú dam.

Click the picture for more details of the dam. Or watch this video.

The breakfast at Savoy Hotel was fantastic. They like bread in Paraguay.

The hotel sign. The best hotel we stayed in and typically, only for a night.

Irmi is getting some early morning juice.

The pool is tempting.

But could need some more maintenance.

Our room seen from the pool side.

The pool bar is very well stocked, but no bar keeper.

Some buildings details showing fancy escape route.

Interior details. A very nice hotel.

Our room with Martin3's bag down to the left.

Garden detail.

The reception area was very stylish and forthcoming. We were waiting for the bus to take us to the many millions landless farmers in Paraguay.

Half way to the dam, we stopped at a landless farmer.

Preparing the root fruits. They all were very nice on the sweetish side.

Pulling cassava out of the ground.

And replanting a piece of it for future harvesting.

Sweet girl from next door.

She only speaks the local language and don't understand Spanish.

"Guerra", "war" is transporting Soya beans, Paraguay's biggest export earner.

At a supermarket, Martin bought rum and cigarettes for JAP.
