Departure from Norway

Up at 0530 and waiting for the bus at 0630 in the bewitching light of the street lightning.

Train is fun as soon you're on board. This is just after passed the main station in Oslo.

Then we waited in the queue to embark on the MaltaAirline plane.

After some more waiting in the security queue, it was time for a visit to the tax-free for a few beers for Malta.

Testing out the wireless network at the airport. Not cheap. € 8,- for an hour. The plane was more than two hours late.

Boarding the plane and we were on route.

Arrival to Malta

Landed on Maltese soil. This was the first impression. A broken down derelict building staring you in the face.

The Maltese flag is red and white with a cross in the upper right hand corner.

The view outside the terminal building.

All the members from the dancing group came together before entering the bus taking us to our hotel, The Dolmen Resort Hotel.

Martin with his first Malteseian drink, an orange juice with vodka before the briefing.

The representative for our travel agency, Finn telling us the details about Malta. Friendly guy.

The next day, Oct 16th, our first day on Malta, it was time for our first lessons and a long walk on the island.
