Martin at CXR airport, waiting to check in. A hell of a hassle.
Fortunately, we got this airplane attendant, Ngan. |
|
|
She was very helpful and professional and made us feel good in spite of the
stupidity of the virus test didn't have any passport nor ID-number on them. |

On Thursday March 31st,
we arrived in
Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. We
checked in at our hotel,
Cambodian Country Club not far
from the airport. We got a shitty room with only one bed, nothing was
cleaned, two full rubbish bins, no towels and filthy dirty floor. Looked like it
hadn't been cleaned for days. |
|
|
It is some 4 kms from the airport.
The receptionist was not helpful. Martin had to ask him 3 times to show us
the shitty room on the 2nd floor, far from the pool. Neither did he offer to
help with the luggage. Martin had to tell him to do his job. Completely
lacked any service attitude at all. It was wet
when we took off from CXR, or Cam Ranh, and old American airbase from the
Vietnam war. |

The clouds were very high this day.
The fish farms of Cam Ranh. |

Arriving in Saigon.
Nice view of the river. |

We went shopping for USD.
Then over to the international departure. |

Up the green stairs. Lousy service
and shitty room. Off to a Korean BBQ in
Phnom Penh.
Fantastic place. |

The interior of

Korean BBQ. The best meal Martin has had in a long time. Highly
recommended. The had their own local beer,
Angkor. A nice, smooth beer. |
|
|
Food laid out.
The air vent. A very smart design for professional BBQ joints. |
|
|
The hot coals are in place.
So is the food. |

Our very helpful and efficient
waitress. She made a fantastic job. Martin's
Angkor beers. |
