Left Nha
Trang on the 12th late, and took the plane from CXR to Hanoi.
Click for bigger picture.
Overview of travelling to Hanoi from Nha Trang.
|
The road is 1300 kms long from Nha Trang to Hanoi and takes some
24 hours.
The flight from CXR to HAN takes one
hour and 35 minutes, of which 35 minutes are taxing on the
tarmac. |
|
|
From HAN Airport to the
The Oriental
Jade Hotel i,
it takes 45 minutes and is some 30 kms.
From the
The Oriental Jade
Hotel to
Muong Thanh Lang Son Hotel, it takes some 140 minutes and is
150 kms long. |
|
|
First stop was a trip
to Alpaca for a lovely salmon lunch. Food is great in Vietnam.
Then the bus that should take us to the airport suddenly got 16
NOK more expensive. No thanks. |
|
|
Here is the bus
station in Nha Trang.
Here is the original tickets that states the bus
is due to leave at 1300 hours.
But we got it right and took the next bus at 1330 and vi had
more than 90 minutes to spare for plane.
|
|
|
Dr had fun before
boarding the plane.
Our plane and the national markings,
VN-A682. The most annoying part was that the ground crew kept us
in the busses for 9 minutes let us stare at the plane from the
bus. Frustrating. |
|
|
Our plane from the
rear. Our takeoff time 1621. Departure time was
1523, one hour late. |
|
|
Phuong bought a
sleeping kit on the plane. We landed at 1753,
after 92 minutes in the air. Along the road, it is just over
1300 kms. |
|
|
Our landing time.
In the evening, we went next door to our hotel,
The Oriental
Jade Hotel, Pepperoni's
pizza. Phuong had a glass of sangria. |
|
|
Martin tasted the
local beer, aptly called Hanoi. Very good as well.
And Martin had a glass of sangria for his fruit salad for
desert. |
|
On Friday November 13th,
was our first full day in Hanoi at
The Oriental Jade Hotel in Hanoi. And a trip to Immigrations and to buy
swimming goggles.
