Martin, beer in hand, ready to depart for Hanoi.
June and Martin at Champa Resort before departing. |
|
|
June like single photos. Offloading at CXR at
Cam Ranh. |
|
|
Checking in.
The attendance girls are very well protected
and required a negative virus check as well. Very strict rules. |
|
|
Martin and a local paper doll
beauty. Ditto June. |

Martin waiting for departure.
Our plane that took us to Hanoi. |

June on her way to the bus on the
tarmac in Hanoi. Con man. Charged 50% more for a
taxi drive than he should. |
|
|
He charged 15K dongs or 65 cent a
kilometer. But he was nice and took us to this
back street where Martin could buy his best beer in Vietnam, the Hanoi beer. |
|
|
The end kilometer. Total 25 kms and
he charged us for 30. Use a taxi with taximeter. Much cheaper.
June coming out of the shop where she bought Hanoi beers. |

One of the fancy bridges over Red
River in Hanoi. Martin with his first 6 Hanoi
beers. Really good beer. |

It was not a room, but
3 big rooms plus bathroom. Kitchen, living room and bedroom. Have a
look at the video.

In the evening, we went
to Cha Ca La Vong
Restaurant that was very favorable
reported on at CNN. It describes it as good food for French soldiers
some 150 years ago. Not for present day customers.
At least, the Hanoi beer was nice. |
|
|
June leaving after a
rather disappointing visit. 165 years old, very traditional, but the food
was very ordinary. |
|
|
The sign outside was
very nice. Here taken with a flash that gave better results.
Next door was a restaurant with all Martin's favorites. A Czech restaurant.
We will go there tomorrow. |

The term "knee" here is
wrong used. In English, it is pork knuckle, not knee.
So we had a dessert in the form of grilled duck breast. |
